There you will find the largest brainstorming session in history. These are people like you and me, all wanting to make a difference, and all posting their ideas for a better world. I find the site inspiring. At times it makes me feel dumb, as some of the ideas posted there are pure genius.
A silent car alarm, for example. Instead of the alarm breaking the ear drums of everyone near it, it sends a silent text message to the mobile phone, or the e-mail, of the owner. Beautiful. And easy to do.
A laughter contest in prisons. This would relieve tension, create a stress-free environment, and more. (It's already being done in Thailand.)
Then there's the idea of projecting images of healing to people in recovery. Most doctors, nurses and hospitals don't focus on the healing. Why not? Helping someone focus on their healing willhelp them heal. Another idea of genius.
The site is an on-going bulging database of ideas. Be sure to get their publications, too. "The Global Ideas Book" and "The World's Greatest Ideas" are packed with *hundreds* of good ideas for improvingour lives and our planet. I marvel at what people create.
