Two Great Articles & My Resulting Thoughts
Today I read a newsletter from Anisa Aven of www.CreataVision.com -- I love what she wrote:

August in Texas is anything but pleasant, and so I didn't want to get out there and tend to my flowers. However, I had a few remaining bulbs that really needed to be planted or else I'd be having a pre-flower funeral.
So, I was really resisting digging up the hard soil along my back fence line, which is where I wanted to plant these bulbs. "ugh... it still makes me perspire just thinking about it!"
Finally, I decided to "hand it over". I said, "Okay, God -you handle this. I don't feel like digging, so if it's meant to be that these flowers find a proper home in my yard - make it happen. If it's meant to be that it just doesn't happen and they rot - so be it. And, what I want is a yard filled with beautiful blooms, and what I intend to experience is the required gardening activities to occur with the greatest amount of ease and fun possible."
There was a knock on the door...(YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS!!!... I'm still having a WOW moment over it...) SBC and Time Warner Cable knocked on my door. "Mam, we will be in your back yard today, repairing and replacing lines." I said, "okay, and don't worry about my ferocious sheltie - she's all bark, and no bite."
The next thing I know, I look outside and they are packing up to leave. They have completely dug up, and aerated every inch of my back fence line - exactly where I wanted to plant my Cannes!!!!
Did I attract this? Emphatically YES! And, if I hadn't turned it over, it never would have occurred. I'm not creative enough to imagine something so crazily arbitrary, magical, and perfect all at the same time.
The important thing to remember when applying the law of attraction is to be clear about the "what" while releasingthe "how".

Criticism - The Insidious Saboteur

A client was recently considering ways in which she could consciously raise her vibrational flow and creative energy so that she could manifest more freely. I asked her if she knew consciously of any behavior that may be sabotaging her efforts. I asked her to consider if she has found herself gossiping or sharing information about another person in a judgmental or disapproving way, I asked her if she made comments to other people that were unloving or in an abrupt manner. As she was considering this and allowing anything to come forward, she exclaimed, "I know what it is! I have been nagging and complaining to my husband. I have been judging his behavior and finding fault with things that I see him do."
I so admired her willingness to live life above the line - and choose to learn from her upsets. So we began by exploring why she is critical and finding fault with her husband and circumstances around her.
Ah yes, criticism - the insidious saboteur.

My Comments:
Wow, there are so many subtle aspects to the Law of Attraction! The above article shed new light for me on ways I have been sabotaging myself without awareness of what I was doing wrong... just like (years and years ago) after I learned that we actually create our reality, but I did not understand Law of Attraction in the slightest... I was coming from the old ideas about Positive Thinking, writing affirmations in the forms that my subconscious would immediately disagree with, pages at a time, and so forth..
But spending a few minutes a day (maybe) CONSCIOUSLY thinking or writing positive thoughts and then letting my "brainwashed" mind run freely as it will the rest of each 24-hour period -- uncensored due to lack of knowledge and understanding about how things REALLY work -- did not create the results I desire in my life.
So I've slowly but surely made changes over time, as the information has come to me in more and more depth -- and the article above 'peels yet another layer of the onion away.'
If I am thinking or speaking JUDGMENTAL thoughts about anyone or anything -- and I even take that to mean about/toward myself -- I am cutting off the flow of positive energy to MYSELF, blocking The Universe from delivering to me what I most need and desire!
I am not a Biblical student, yet in mulling this over I remember the teachings (paraphrasing) such as 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone' and 'do unto others as you would have done unto you' and 'love thy neighbor as thyself' ... these instructions now seem much more profound than the original way I understood them, which was God saying something like 'act nicely or you'll regret it because you'll be punished' ...
NO, these instructions are attempting to explain the Natural Laws that govern our Universe, our Planet!
God, Infinite Intelligence -- whatever you feel comfortable with naming that Supreme Force -- is trying to show us how to live our Divine Birthright of prosperity, abundance, love, and happiness!
It's so familiar and thus weirdly comfortable, in a way, to keep on feeling like a victim of everything and everybody but my own thoughts, beliefs, and actions! Yet, how truly BLESSED we are to realize in this day and age that we hold the key to our own prison door!
It's a big, bright, world out there -- and yes, parts of it seem scary!
But Oh! the parts that are FUN, Loving, Sharing, Giving, Uplifting, Tender, Beautiful...
The parts that are WORTH the risk to step outside our prison bars, and take the leap of Faith to change our ways, change our habitual (even addictive) ways of thinking, and thus our EXPERIENCES!
