Cause of Death - Christopher Reeve

I just sent the following message to the Xango Yahoo Group, a discussion list for XanGo distributors like myself. My discovery happened after my last post about Christopher Reeve here, and the message speaks for itself.

This is just TOO coincidental to ignore!

TO XANGO YAHOO GROUP:

Hello everybody,

Today I read that Christopher Reeve died, and I was SHOCKED.

At first I didn't know HOW he died.

I looked up news of is death on a search engine and found this link:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2004-10-11-reeve-obit_x.htm

First mention was that he died of heart failure, which I thought is VERY UNFAIR after all he's been through.

Then, I caught THIS particular paragraph, and it struck me like someone hit me:

"His publicist said Reeve fell into a coma Saturday after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Pound Ridge, N.Y. In the past week, Reeve had been treated for a bloodstream infection caused by a bedsore. He died at Northern Westchester Hospital surrounded by his family."

I am STRUCK by the fact that he had an infection the week before his heart failure.

Dr. Templeman was just here in Minneapolis this weekend with Sherman Unkefer, and his lecture was OUTSTANDING.

There is NO WAY I can put all I learned into words here in an email...

But there was something I learned that applies to this news exactly, that I'd never heard before, about the cause of some heart attacks.

It may be discussed in the Q&A session on the DVD by Dr. Templeman, but I've only watched the first disk.

He talked about this in his live lecture on Saturday...

And I am only a layperson, and I'm afraid I'll get this wrong...

But essentially, he reported that a large percentage of the deaths from cardiac arrests were in people who did NOT have a high enough level of the plaque in their arteries to warrant a heart attack.

And SOMEHOW, they've discovered that many of those particular people had infections in their systems, and/or that the plaque in the heart arteries showed signs of infection...

If any of the health professionals on this list could elaborate, that would be awesome!

But bottom line, from what I learned, my personal understanding is that Chris Reeves' heart attack COULD have been caused -- or contributed to somehow -- by his bloodstream infection that initiated from a bed sore.

Again, I am struck by HOW UNFAIR that is, after all he's been through and what an example of human courage and perseverance he's been to us all!

And, that is why (only one of the many reasons) the anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects of the Mangosteen and Xanthones are so essential!

I hope I've written this to make sense!

In sadness, yet with hope,
Laurie
